Emmanuel Agbonomhen Agege

President

Emmanuel Agbonomhen Agege, PhD, MPH, HND, PGD, FIMC, serves as the President of BASONEAA. He specializes in Occupational Health and Safety as well as Community Health. An accomplished author, he has published over 30 articles in reputable international journals and is the author of the book Essentials for Optimal Health. As a mental health specialist and dynamic motivational speaker, he has presented at numerous national and international conferences, advocating for health optimization and community well-being.

Stella Sarah Ogbe

1st Vice President

Stella Sarah Ogbe, RN, RM, CRNA, BNSC, is the 1st Vice President of BASONEAA, overseeing Nigeria and the rest of Africa. A highly skilled nurse anesthetist, she currently serves with the Delta State Hospital Management Board in Asaba. Stella is married and a proud mother.

Beatrice Oniovo-Kukor

2nd Vice President

Beatrice Oniovo-Kukor, RN, BSM, IBCLC, serves as the 2nd Vice President of BASONEAA, overseeing Europe and Asia. With over 27 years of nursing experience, she worked as an Accident & Emergency (A&E) nurse in London until 2010 before earning her degree in Midwifery from City University London (2010-2014). Since 2014, she has been practicing as a midwife in Norway and is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), specializing in maternal and infant health. Beatrice is passionate about supporting mothers and families through expert care and advocacy.

Frank Uche Akpati

3rd Vice President

Frank Uche Akpati, PhD, DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, serves as the 3rd Vice President of BASONEAA, overseeing North America, and is the Editor-in-Chief of BASONEAA Vanguard. A professor of nursing at multiple institutions in the United States, he is board-certified in Family Medicine and Psychiatry. With expertise in psychopharmacology, neuroscience, and diagnostic reasoning, his research focuses on how acculturation affects the health of immigrant communities in the U.S.

Matilda Ntumeonuwa Obi

Secretary

Matilda Ntumeonuwa Obi, RN, RM, BNSC, RPHN, PDE, RNE, MSc, serves as the General Secretary of BASONEAA and the Associate Editor of BASONEAA Vanguard. She is a dedicated Preceptor and the PMTCT (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission) focal person at Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara, Delta State, Nigeria.

Monday A.C. Adishi

Project Committee Chairperson

Monday A.C. Adishi, RN, RCCN, BNSc, MSN, PhD, FWAPCN, is one of the most brilliant minds to emerge from Baptist School of Nursing Eku. A specialist in Intensive and Critical Care Nursing, he currently works with Chevron Medical, providing exceptional expertise in his field. He serves as the Project Committee Chairperson for BASONEAA, contributing his leadership and vision to the association's initiatives.

Dorcas Urhiemefe

Social & Welfare Committee Chairperson

Dorcas Urhiemefe, RN, RM, BSc, brings over 28 years of nursing and healthcare experience to her role as the Social and Welfare Committee Chairperson for BASONEAA. A dedicated healthcare professional, she is committed to fostering the well-being and unity of the association's members through her expertise and leadership.

Sandy Atake Okuyade

Protocol Officer

Sandy Atake Okuyade,RN, BNSc, MSc, serves as the Protocol Officer for BASONEAA. With over 20 years of nursing experience, she has worked as a clinical instructor and educator, bringing her expertise to nursing education. Currently, she works with the Ministry of Health in the Nursing Education Department, where she plays a pivotal role in policy development, regulatory matters, and strategic planning. Sandy is committed to advancing nursing education and healthcare standards.

Aghogho Emegere

Financial Secretary

Aghogho Emegere, RN, RPON, BNSc, is a Certified Perioperative Nurse with the Delta State Hospital Management Board. With expertise spanning urban hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, she is dedicated to delivering high-quality perioperative care. Aghogho serves as the Financial Secretary of BASONEAA, contributing her skills to the association's financial management and organizational growth.

Annette Avwerosuoghene Orove

Treasurer

Annette Avwerosuoghene Orove, RN, RM, HND, BNSc, MPH, serves as the Treasurer of BASONEAA. With over 25 years of nursing experience, she currently works in community nursing, demonstrating her dedication to improving public health and well-being. Annette brings extensive expertise and a strong commitment to her role within the association.

Michael Ifogbe

Public Relations Officer

Michael Ifogbe, RN, BNSc, has over 25 years of nursing and healthcare experience and serves as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for BASONEAA. With a wealth of professional expertise, he is dedicated to promoting the association's vision and fostering effective communication among its members.

Arieze Ellen Igbuwe

Chairperson 2024 BGM Planning Committee

Mrs. Arieze Ellen Igbuwe (née Ezaga), Chairperson of the 2024 BGM Planning Committee for BASONEAA, is a dedicated healthcare professional with a BNSc, MPH, and certifications as a Registered Nurse and Midwife. Trained at Baptist School of Nursing, Eku, and Holy Rosary School of Midwifery, Onitsha, she serves with the Local Government Service Commission. A committed Christian at Salvation Ministries, she is celebrated for her leadership, generosity, integrity, and passion for her work and community.

Ufuoma Egelebo

Maryland, USA

Ufuoma Egelebo is an accomplished alumna of the Baptist School of Nursing, Eku, graduating in 1995. She earned her Midwifery certification from the University of Benin Teaching Hospital in 1997 and later pursued a Bachelor’s in Nursing and a Master’s in Healthcare Leadership and Management from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, USA. With a compassionate heart and a commitment to equality in patient care, Ufuoma currently serves as a Senior Clinical Research Nurse at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. She specializes in oncology and blood and marrow transplantation, holding advanced certifications in her field. Her dedication to excellence and her impactful contributions to nursing make her a proud BASONEAA Vanguard Brand Ambassador.

Emily Edesiri Akamune

Eku, Nigeria

Mrs. Akamune Emily Edesiri (née Aghwadoma) is a distinguished alumna of the Baptist School of Nursing, Eku, and a highly respected healthcare professional. She hails from Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, Nigeria, and currently serves at Eku Baptist Government Hospital. With a strong academic foundation, she earned her RN in 1991 and RM in 1994 as a pioneer graduate of Delta State Midwifery School, Asaba. She further obtained a Diploma in Computer Science Operations in 2001 and a B.Sc. (Ed) in Health Education in 2005 from Delta State University, Abraka. Known for her nurturing and principled nature, Mrs. Akamune is a compassionate leader and mentor. Her dedication to healthcare, patient care, and community service exemplifies the core values of BASONEAA Vanguard, making her an ideal Brand Ambassador.

Angela Igbru-Otomewo

London, United Kingdom

Angela Igbru-Otomewo is an Advanced Specialist Nurse in Oncology and Palliative Care with 26 years of dedicated nursing experience. She holds a Diploma in Cancer Care from the Royal Marsden School of Cancer Nursing and Rehabilitation, an HE Diploma in Oncology Nursing from Thames Valley University, and a BSc in Nursing from King’s College, University of London. A former owner and registered care manager of Krislight Health Care UK, Angela’s expertise and commitment to excellence in oncology and palliative care exemplify the values of BASONEAA Vanguard. Her career reflects a deep passion for advancing patient care and inspiring the next generation of nurses. Her dedication to excellence and her impactful contributions to nursing make her a proud BASONEAA Vanguard Brand Ambassador.

Freeborn Ukpede

Atlanta, USA

Freeborn Ukpede is a distinguished alumnus of the Baptist School of Nursing, Eku, and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with a master’s degree in his specialty. A dynamic nurse entrepreneur, he is passionate about promoting financial freedom within immigrant communities. As the author of the inspiring book Dare to Be Vulnerable, Freeborn has also led over 17 medical missions, transforming countless lives in Delta State. Beyond his professional success, he serves as the founder and under-shepherd of a thriving Bible-believing church in Atlanta. In recognition of his remarkable contributions to humanity, he was awarded an honorary doctoral degree. Freeborn exemplifies the ideals of BASONEAA Vanguard through his leadership, service, and dedication. His innovation and commitment to uplifting others make him an outstanding Brand Ambassador for our alumni community.
